Vendor Opportunities

The Seattle Convention Center regularly purchases a variety of goods and services, and as a public entity is committed to dealing fairly with all suppliers. Generally, purchases with an estimated value in excess of $5,000 are subject to varying levels of vendor competition. Some awards are made on the basis of price, e.g., a construction bid, while for other solicitations qualitative factors are taken into account. In all cases, SCC strives to be as clear as possible about its requirements.

Potential suppliers are invited to provide information about their products and services to the procurement systems SCC participates in:

Descriptive materials of product and/or services offerings (letters of introduction, sales brochures, etc.) can be sent at any time to chris.mullen@seattleconventioncenter.com.

SCC generally does not post individual procurements to its website. Rather, 1) vendor opportunities are posted to the WEBS system referenced above and/or are advertised in a newspaper of general circulation in the Puget Sound area, or 2) a vendor pool generated from the MRSC Rosters system or otherwise developed may be contacted directly by SCC via e-mail.

OPPORTUNITIES FOR DISADVANTAGED AND SMALL BUSINESSES

The SCC Board of Directors strongly supports providing sales opportunities for disadvantaged (minority-, women- and veteran-owned) and small (independently owned and operated, and having fewer than 50 employees) businesses. Businesses may be certified by the Washington State Office of Minority and Women’s Business Enterprises at http://www.omwbe.wa.gov, or may be self-identified as being disadvantaged and/or small. Information about products and services should be sent directly chris.mullen(at)seattleconventioncenter.com.
