WASHINGTON STATE CONVENTION CENTER ANNOUNCES SPECIAL FINE ARTS EXHIBITION

SEATTLE – The Washington State Convention Center is proud to announce the opening of WALKING THE NEIGHBORHOOD: Images from Favorite Washington Places, a fine arts exhibition of photography.

Just as Seattle is known for its walkability, with interesting nooks and amazing views available throughout the city, so are a great many communities, large and small, throughout Washington. WALKING THE NEIGHBORHOOD highlights both the creativity of our state’s residents and those special Washington places, things and people that inspire us to get on the move.

“The Convention Center is very proud to have produced this wonderful exhibition.  The WSCC art program, one of the largest of its kind in the nation, highlights the talent of our state’s artists and the artworks they create”, says Susana Gonzalez-Murillo, Chair of the WSCC Board Art Committee.  “This impressive public program provides an enriching experience for more than 400,000 people who pass through the Center each year, both event attendees and the general public.  We are so pleased to be able to offer this significant exposure for a wide variety of artists and arts organizations.”

The exhibition is on display at the Convention Center, Level 2 Gallery, 705 Pike Street, and will run through March of 2018. Exhibitions at the Convention Center are open to the public, free of charge, year-round.
